I am super excited about today’s post! Have you guys ever heard of Dry Bar? Well, I hadn’t until about a year and a half ago when I saw they were opening one in Del Mar, CA. I have always had an aptitude for make-up and fashion, but when it came to hair, forget it – hello top knots and braids! Dry Bar is a little hair haven where they do amazing, quick blow outs and styles for a flat rate of $35.00, regardless of hair length, texture, or complexity of your style!
Aside from the adorable decor, complimentary beverages (alcoholic or otherwise), and impressive chick-flick collection shown on a loop – Dry Bar provides incredible hair service at an affordable price. Before them, nothing quite like it existed – you had your Super Cuts and Fantastic Sam’s at a reasonable price but with inconsistent quality, or you had your stylist or 5 star salon charging an arm and a leg for a decent blow out. As a curly-haired gal, I yearned for the glossy, bouncy locks my friends seemed to achieve somewhat effortlessly; unless I went for a hair cut, I could never get my hair to look polished and sophisticated. That is, until I went to Dry Bar.
Here’s another really exciting thing when it comes to Dry Bar, I am now a part of their team- I work there! A die-hard customer since August of 2011 (seriously, my friends kept asking if I got a cut of the profits because I would plug it so hard), it was the first place I thought of when I decided to get a part time job. I applied to a brand new location (somewhat) near our home in LA in December, and by their grand opening just before Christmas, I was officially one of their newest “bartenders” (front desk/ hostess of the party/ whatever you need done around the shop, except do hair ). It is such a fun place to work and be, and I am so thrilled to share it with you today.

What shall we order?

As if I need to tell you yet another amazing thing when it comes to Dry Bar, but there is a Groupon- yes a Groupon – for the newest southern California Dry Bar location, Pasadena, where yours truly works! I have no idea how long it will last, but if you have never been and are curious or you are a regular and know what a steal this deal is, treat yourself and come on in! We’d love to see you.
I’d love to hear your thoughts – have you been? Are you intrigued? I know you’ll love it! Locations are growing exponentially – find one in your hood.

P.S. All the beautiful pictures above (except for the snapshot of my hair) are from the site’s picture gallery.

I’ve never heard of these before! That’s such a genius idea & I wish there was one close to where I live!

Congratulations, Meghan, new job!!!! What a wonderful work environment, I love the concept of this company, and I’m always so inspired by women who take their idea and run with it successfully in the business world. It will be fun to keep an eye on Alli Webb and what she creates next, doubly fun because you are a part of it!!
