Ida Ford Print: Fresh Off The Press

Today I’m really excited to share my new additions to my Ida Ford Print shop on Etsy! These newest additions are Valentines! Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays. I particularly enjoy the emphasis on declaring your love for another person. Whether it’s romantic or platonic love, on February 14th it deserves to be celebrated.

Happy Valentines Day banner.

I still vividly remember decorating a Valentine themed shoe box in grade school and handing out my little Valentines to each of my classmates. I loved rushing home from school and emptying my treasure chest of goodies. In a way, it was better than Halloween since I didn’t have to go door to door asking for candy. Instead, it was delivered into my own little mailbox for safe keeping. Sadly, as adulthood is upon us, this is no longer a tradition I take part in, but still when I receive a Valentine, it brings back a familiar giddy feeling I had as a little girl on February 14th.

I’ll be sending out Valentines this year and although they’ll bear less Princesses and contain less heart shaped candy–they’ll still hopefully bring a smile to my loved ones’ faces and just perhaps a little childish giddiness.

Do you still send Valentines?
