This Saturday was Meg’s bridal shower! It was a travel accessory shower. Since the emphasis was placed on travel and they’re traveling to France and Italy for their honeymoon, the eats and treats were european inspired. It was the most amazing shower thrown by the mother of the bride and mother of the groom with a little help here and there from myself and the bridal party as well.
I mean… have you ever seen a more beautiful bride?
Flowers arranged by the mother of the groom.
Gifted Hunter rain boots filled with flowers.
Shower games.
Something sweet from Italy.
Something sweet from France. Baked by moi.
Jordan almond favors from the mother of the groom.
Gifted handmade chocolate favors sent from a dear family friend.
I had so much fun baking for the shower. I took a bit of a risk on the day of the shower by trying a new recipe: blackberry currant cupcakes with cinnamon cream cheese frosting and berries on top and just in case stuck to one I knew very well: almond buttercream cupcakes. The cupcake sleeves are from Sur La Table and just screamed “bridal shower.”
A petite sweet plate.
The main course was crepes. Half the fun of the meal was watching them make it!
A passport travel advice guest book. If you haven’t already, comment on this post to give the newlywed couple your European travel advice here.
One of my gifts to the bride to be, personalized ‘thank you’ cards. Stationary, guestbook passport and “From Miss to Mrs.” banner done by my company Ida Ford Print.
I felt that this luggage image was perfect for the theme.
My gift box for Meg including ‘thank you’ notes and two flower crowns from Urban Outfitters found here.
The bridal party showing off our bridesmaid bangles.
The mother of the bride, bride and maid of honor.
The shower went off without a hitch and there are so many incredible people to thank for that. I’m deeply grateful to all the amazing people who rallied together to make February 9th an unforgettable day for my sister. She was showered in so much love!
Congratulations once again to my gorgeous sister and to the future Mr. and Mrs. Blancato!
