Princess Bride

This Saturday was Meg’s bridal shower! It was a travel accessory shower. Since the emphasis was placed on travel and they’re traveling to France and Italy for their honeymoon, the eats and treats were european inspired.  It was the most amazing shower thrown by the mother of the bride and mother of the groom with a little help here and there from myself and the bridal party as well.

I had so much fun baking for the shower. I took a bit of a risk on the day of the shower by trying a new recipe: blackberry currant cupcakes with cinnamon cream cheese frosting and berries on top and just in case stuck to one I knew very well: almond buttercream cupcakes. The cupcake sleeves are from Sur La Table and just screamed “bridal shower.”

The main course was crepes. Half the fun of the meal was watching them make it!

The shower went off without a hitch and there are so many incredible people to thank for that. I’m deeply grateful to all the amazing people who rallied together to make February 9th an unforgettable day for my sister. She was showered in so much love!

Congratulations once again to my gorgeous sister and to the future Mr. and Mrs. Blancato!
